Worst Cooks in America Season 16: Which celebrity could win?

After Worst Cooks in America Season 16 premiere, the celebrities are preparing for this season’s boot camp. But, who could really be a good cook?

Did you watch the Worst Cooks in America Season 16 premiere? As Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence evaluated this season of new celebrity recruits, the episode was part chaos and part surprising. Could some of these celebrities really learn to become good cooks?

This season’s group celebrity recruits are: Jim J. Bullock, Morgan Fairchild, Tonya Harding, Jonathan Lipnicki, Taryn Manning, Alec Mapa, Kym Whitley and Jimmie Walker.

In the first episode, the challenges were designed for fans to meet the celebrities through food. The first challenge had the celebrities create one of their favorite dishes. This challenge was far more telling than just the showcasing the celebrities’ inability to cook.

Looking at the first challenge, it seemed to give some insight on these aspiring cooks ability to understand flavors. As each celebrity tried to recreate one of their favorite restaurant dishes, the challenge was more than being able to prep and cook.

Granted, a lot of the dishes were inedible. Sorry, Jonathan raw meat is never a good idea. Also, over cooked chicken is more rubber, not edible Morgan. While the start was quite rough, some of these people could become decent cooks.

Truthfully, it is really hard to make any assumptions based on the first episode. It could be anyone’s title to win (sort of). But isn’t it fun to pick a favorite and see if that prediction comes true?

My top two picks for Worst Cooks in America Season 16 are Kym Whitley and Alec Mapa. Kym has been around food. While no one should ever wipe their plate on their shirt, she made a plate of tasty food. There is a lot of room for improvement, but the taste was there.

Alec Mapa has such a vivacious personality. His desire to learn and his happy attitude will help him tremendously in the kitchen. Happy cooks make delicious food.
