Celebrate Carvel’s 85th birthday with ice cream and beer
Craving some delicious Carvel ice cream? The iconic soft-serve is celebrating its 85th birthday with ice cream and its limited edition beer.
Ice cream and beer sound like a perfect birthday celebration. Carvel turns 85th on May 2. In honor of the special occasion, the East Coast brand wants to celebrate with its loyal fans. It is time to grab a spoon and a pint.
Looking back the brand’s history, the company celebrates that people always crave a happy escape. Throughout the years, this ice cream and even Cookie Puss cakes are part of big, small and any type of celebration.
Nicolle DuBose, Senior Director of Marketing at Carvel. “Eighty-five years after Tom Carvel invented soft serve ice cream by happenstance, we continue to look toward the future to give our fans the delicious, home-made ice cream, iconic characters, tasty innovation and sweet celebrations they know and love. Here’s to the next 85!”
On May 2, participating full service shoppes will be offering $.85 junior soft serve cones. Customers can choose any flavor, including cold brew coffee, classic vanilla and delicious chocolate. The offer will be available from open to close.

While discounted ice cream is tasty, Carvel is doing more for the community. The brand will donate $10,000 to the American Red Cross’ Sound the Alarm campaign. The program looks to install free smoke alarms, provide education and support at risk communities.
Since many people enjoy celebrating special occasions with a special libation, May 2 will be the official re-launch of the Cookie Puss Milkshake IPA. This collaboration between the iconic ice cream brand and Captain Lawrence Brewing was a huge hit last year.
This full-bodied beer was brewed with vanilla ice cream. With hints of sweetness yet full beer flavor, it is a beer that stout fans and regular beer fans enjoy. Plus, this beer could be a great base for a delicious ice cream float.
Don’t miss $.85 cone day. Not that people need an excuse to eat some ice cream, but this one is a great reason to give into that craving.
