Summer means a lot of things to a lot of people. To me it means fresh fruits and veggies, which I buy at my local area best farmers markets!

Maryland is a great state, and within this great state we have some great farmers markets! So get your bags read, because here are five of my must see farmers markets in the Baltimore area.

Baltimore Farmer’s Markets

Located at Holiday and Saratoga Street, this market is right beneath the Jones Falls Expressway. Open from 7 a.m. to noon every Sunday, this market boasts dozens of local vendors with a variety of foods.

I’ve picked up sheep’s milk cheese, beautiful ripe strawberries, and some of the best bread I’ve ever had in my life here.

Towson Farmers Market

Held every Thursday on Pennsylvania Ave, this market has over 20 unique stalls and vendors. I’m a personal fan of Pat’s Pickles, as well as Boordy Vineyards, which makes some of the best wine in the area!

Catonsville Farmers Market

Every week this farmers market has something unique going on, so its worth checking out their page. If you’re not interested in special events, they do have a number of vendors filled to the brim with homemade food, homegrown veggies, and more!

Baltimore County Farmer’s Market

This is one is one of my favorite’s to visit. Held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds every Wednesday, they pull ten local and unique farmers together so visitors can buy farm fresh eggs, meat, flowers, and more!

The Reisterstown Farmers Market

This is a great market to visit on Sundays. With over 25 local vendors, you’ll absolutely find something for everyone here. You can also do a history tour — so not only can you pick up some of the freshest food you’ll find in the area, you can also learn about Historic Reisterstown as well!
