MasterChef Season 10 episode 4 preview: Ready for a pool party?

In this week’s MasterChef episode, the home cooks are ready to dive into a 10th anniversary themed pool party. Will this pool food impress the VIP guests?

Is the water warm? In this week’s MasterChef episode, the pool might beckon, but the home cooks will be grilling up some delicious bites for VIP guests. Will these home cooks throw the best pool party ever?

According to FOX, this week’s MasterChef episode, “10th Season Pool Party” synopsis states:

"The Top 18 contestants face their first team challenge in a MASTERCHEF 10th anniversary-themed pool party. The home cooks will be dishing up party food for 100 VIP guests, including former MASTERCHEF contestants and winners. Divided into two teams of nine, it will be a non-stop battle to stay out of eliminations with only one team gaining immunity! Find out who makes the cut and who will fight it out in the all-new “10th Season Pool Party!” episode of MASTERCHEF."

With this challenge being a team challenge, it will be curious to see how the home cooks work together. Since it is early in the competition, it can be difficult to see who is a contender and who might be on the bottom.

In many ways, this team competition can see which home cook is willing to put his all into every competition. Sometimes these challenges are less about ego and more about communication. Can someone emerge as a leader?

Given that Gordon, Joe and Aaron picked the menu, the home cooks’ skills are being tested. While the menu won’t be overly difficult, they will prove how well the home cooks can cook under pressure and as a team.

The key to winning the team challenge will be communication. It is a common theme in any reality food competition. The team who can work like a real restaurant quality cooking line will win the challenge and earn the judge’s respect.

Although the losing team will face elimination, no one wants to face that pressure test. Wouldn’t it be best to be safe and move onto next week’s challenge?
