Did you get The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Meal Pack from Postmates?
Did you know that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel delivers? Thanks to Postmates, fans were able to get a special meal pack delivered to their door.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has struck a chord with fans. There is something refreshing in this depiction of life and laughter. To celebrate this favorite Amazon series, Postmates offered free meal pack delivery in select cities through June 21. Did you get a free lunch?
The Postmates special meal pack featured a pastrami on rye sandwich, a pickle, a black and white cookie and a Steiner tomato juice. Plus, there was a little “special treat” from Susie Myerson. It was a lovely nod to the era and some pretty tasty food.
Looking at the meal pack, the food choices are straight out of a New York style deli. A classic pastrami on rye, when done well, is simply divine. From the rye bread with its flavorful seeds to bold mustard to cut the richness, one bite will make you rediscover why this sandwich is a classic.
Although everyone has differing opinions, the black and white cookie is a personal favorite. Looking back at my childhood, that cookie was the special bond between my grandmother and me. A trip to a NYC deli wasn’t complete without a black and white cookie.
Granted, that cookie has seen its share of commentary. Who doesn’t remember the Seinfield skits? But, one bite will have you instantly become a fan. There is no other cookie that can instantly transport me back to my childhood.
