The Wedding Cake Championship Season 2 finale is here. From puppets to online dating, this season’s themes have been quite diverse. What does the finale hold for these baking duos?
According to the Food Network, the Wedding Cake Championship Season 2 finale, “Ashely I. and Jared” features the following:
"In the grand finale, the last three teams of bakers start by making lifelike flower cake toppers. For their final cake challenge, the teams must bake epic cakes that exude New England glam for Ashley I. and Jared, two lovebirds who fell for each other in front of the world on Bachelor in Paradise. Judges Kimberly Bailey, Maneet Chauhan and Randy Fenoli make the final decision of which team wins $25,000 and is crowned the Wedding Cake Champions."
The cake topper challenge should be the most visually impressive moment from this season. While all the baking duos are talented, Shelby should excel in this challenge. She has a talent in creating some beautiful sugar art (or so Food Network fans saw on other Food Network competitions).
For the wedding cake challenge, it will be curious to see how the baking duos incorporate the aspect of Bachelor in Paradise into the wedding cakes. While the show isn’t necessarily the theme, the baking duos cannot ignore how the couple met.
Since this episode is the finale, the baking duos need to go big. Momentum has built throughout the season. Still, the wedding cakes haven’t gone over the top.
