Are you ready for the new season of Worst Bakers in America? These eight recruits are looking to go from worst to first, but can they rise to the occasion?

A Food Network favorite is back. Worst Bakers in America returns for a new season. With eight recruits looking to find baking redemption, can these kitchen catastrophes make you feel better about your own baking skills?

This Food Network series is entertaining on two fronts, the baking mishaps and the show’s hosts. While everyone knows that these bakers will probably mix up the salt and the sugar, many people will be watching for the Jason Smith one-liners. Wonder if there is a rooster socks reference in the season premiere?

According to Food Network, the Season 2 premiere, “Piped Dreams” features the following:

"Eight of the worst bakers in America enter boot camp with hopes of going from kitchen disasters to baking masters. Chefs Lorraine Pascale and Jason Smith see what they’re dealing with by asking the recruits to recreate their dream desserts. Once the teams have been chosen, the recruits do their best to not get sent home by creating twelve of their own uniquely designed cookies for their “cookie feed.”"

Recreating their dream desserts could spell instant disaster for these recruits. While a dream dessert might be a lofty goal, these recruits need to learn the basics. Why try making a Baked Alaska when a person can’t even make a homemade ice cream?

Of course, watching the mistakes is part of the entertainment. Truthfully, Food Network fans can learn a lot from watching these Worst Cooks shows. There are lots of skills packed into each episode. Even experienced bakers can pick up a trick or two.

As for the second challenge, the cookie feed sounds like a blend of baking skill and visual appeal. In today’s baking world, the dessert needs to look pretty and taste good.
