The Great Food Truck Race Season 10 finale preview: Key Lime Clash

The Great Food Truck Race Season 10 finale is here. As Nola Creations battle Brunch Babes in Key West, which food truck will win this Food Network competition?

It is time for The Great Food Truck Race Season 10 finale. This beach themed season has seen a variety of twists, turns and firsts. But one question remains, which food truck will earn the $50,000 prize and the coveted Food Network title?

According to the Food Network, this week’s episode, “Key Lime Crash” features the following:

"Tyler Florence meets the final two food trucks as they go head-to-head in sunny Key West, Florida. A spiny lobster, a key lime challenge and an unexpected visitor galvanize the teams to give it their all in the final push. In the end, one team closes the doors of their food truck and one walks away with the grand prize of $50,000."

Looking at what appears to be some special challenges, the spiny lobster should be quite interesting. Spiny lobster has no claws and it has a briny flavor.

It will be curious to see how the two food trucks use this ingredient. While Brunch Babes could do a tots, it would be nice to see them push a little more. Could a lobster benedict be added to the menu?

Nola Creations should excel in this challenge. These chefs have a lot of recipes in their back pocket. Hopefully, they can make some innovative yet within their creole roots.

As for the second potential challenge, the food trucks should have expected a key lime challenge. Given the location, it would have been a big omission not to have a key lime challenge.

In a way, this challenge could be in Brunch Babes’ favor. Many of their recipes use pineapple, although not the same, some recipes could be adapted to include key lime.

While Nola Creations beignets are famous, it would be nice to see them create a different type of dish. Could they really push themselves in the final challenge?
