Dine for No Kid Hungry is having a big kick-off event with Curtis Stone and Busy Philipps on September 4 and everyone can join.
Excited for Dine for No Kid Hungry? For the first time, the kickoff will be live streamed on September 4. Curtis Stone will join No Kid Hungry Live with Busy Philipps. Foodies will want to watch this special event.
Did you know that 1 in 6 children are living with hunger in the United States? That figure is astonishing. While many people think that people live in this abundant world, there are children who struggle just to have a meal.
The Dine for No Kid Hungry brings both awareness and funds to the program. When guests dine or order at participating restaurants, money is raised for the program.
Specifically, $1 donated can provide up to 10 meals to children. Whether guests round up their check to donate or order specific meals, any donation can and does make a big difference.
This year Grubhub is expanding its partnership by giving guests more ways to participate. On e of the easiest is Donate the Change.
The Donate the Change is a simple way for diners to make a difference. By rounding up their check, that money gets donated to the cause. In many ways, this small donation can make a huge difference.
Even some national fast causal restaurants like Shake Shack, Noodles & Company, On the Border and Arby’s Foundation are raising funds and awareness for the program.
To kick off this month long event, Curtis Stone and Busy Philipps will host this 90 minute Facebook Live event. During the event, there were opportunities to learn about the program, earn prizes and celebrate those heroes who have lead the fight against hunger. This type of kickoff event builds excitement and awareness for the program.
Throughout September, the No Kid Hungry program will be featured. While the dining portion is a huge push, there are many ways that people can make a difference. For example, Williams Sonoma offered their celebrity spatulas that raise funds.
Also, kids can get involved on their own. Some kids have even hosted their own bake sales, where proceeds go to the program. This idea goes to show that anyone and everyone can make a difference in their own way.
The restaurant industry is a wonderful platform to raise awareness for and fight childhood hunger. Chefs feed people on a daily basis. Using their talents to help others inspired everyone to help in any way that they can.
The Kick off Dine for No Kid Hungry will be on September 4 at 7 p.m. EST on Facebook, Instagram. Twitter and YouTube.
