Worst Cooks in America Season 17 episode 7: Who makes the finale?

Four recruits vie for a spot in the Worst Cooks in America finale. In this week’s challenges, can the recruit put together all their cooking skills?

Who will earn a Worst Cooks in America finale spot? Season 17 has been filled with terrible failures and huge accomplishments. While last week’s brunch challenge was more successful, these recruits still need to prove their spot in the finale.

According to the Food Network, this week’s episode synopsis states:

"In the penultimate week of boot camp, the remaining recruits battle it out for their spot in the finale. First, they’re each given $15 and 20 minutes to scour Aldi supermarket for the ingredients to make a meal of their choice. For the main dish challenge, the recruits attempt to replicate dishes created by chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay that utilize high-end ingredients. After the tasting, the chefs decide which recruits are going to the finale."

The first challenge sounds a little like real life and a little like another Food Network competition show. Still, these “Worst Cooks” need to be able to show their family and friends back home that they learned something from this show. This challenge accomplishes that goal.

Given that the recruits are at Aldi and $15 goes a long way there, the challenge gives a chance at a lot of creativity. It will be interesting to see if the recruits really push themselves.

For the main dish challenge, the recruits will need to represent the ingredients. While these recruits may not have eaten, let alone cooked with, these ingredients, they need to pay attention. No one wants to mess up a dish with expensive ingredients.

Looking at the four remaining recruits, it can be difficult to determine who will make the finale. Everyone has had their ups and downs.

Overall, it should come down to which recruit listens and executes the main dish challenge best. After all, Anne and Bobby are wanting to win the competition. Worst Cooks in America is about bragging rights for them too.
