Kids Baking Championship finale: Whose cake is out of this world?
The Kids Baking Championship finale is here and only one young baker will earn the coveted Food Network title with an amazing cake.
Only one young baker will earn the title in the Kids Baking Championship finale. Throughout this season, these young bakers have proven themselves with numerous tasty creations. Still, they need one more out of this world cake to prove themselves to the judges.
According to the Food Network, the Kids Baking Championship finale, “Out of this World” feature the following:
"Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman are lost in space and challenge the three remaining bakers to create cakes that look like a spaceship, aliens or another planet. The most out-of-this-world cake wins, and only one baker will claim $25,000, a spot in Food Network Magazine and the title of Kids Baking Champion."
While the young bakers can show their creativity, the key is to create the “most out-of-this-world cake.” That statement can be quite subjective. Is the criteria visual or flavor based?
The young bakers would be wise to stay away from globe shaped cakes. Those shaped cakes can be difficult and problematic to make. While visually impressive, they can spell disaster.
The alien cake could be a fun choice. It should offer a lot of color and should be easily identifiable. If someone could add a few elements of surprise, that could boost their chance at winning.
Lastly, a spaceship cake is relatively straightforward. Although, a grey cake can be a little blah, the young bakers need to add some details. While no one will have things fire or explode, they will want to have some movement or something unique in this cake.
Any of these three young bakers could walk away with the title in the Kids Baking Championship finale. Which out of this world creation will get your vote?
