Tim Hortons is bringing back the Smile Cookie campaign and it is the prefect reason to grab a cookie. Who’s ready to smile?

While a sweet treat brings a smile, the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is even more reason to smile. If you ever needed a reason to buy an extra cookie, this charity event is a great one.

Now through September 22, the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raises funds for charities. Charities include children’s hospitals, community programs and other charities. Isn’t a cookie sweeter when it does some extra good?

The Smile Cookie is a signature chocolate chunk cookie that has been decorated with a smile. With blue eyes and a pink smile, the sweet treat instantly brings a smile to everyone’s face.

“Every year we’re glad to support our local communities through the annual Smile Cookie program,” says Ricardo Azevedo, President of Tim Hortons U.S. “Our Restaurant Owners and Guests across the U.S. can feel good about eating one of our delicious smile cookies, while supporting their local communities, organizations, and charities through the Smile Cookie program.”

When companies offer this special charity promotions, more people tend to take notice. Even if you don’t normally buy a cookie, you become more willing to add that treat to your order because of the charity aspect.

Food brands are in a great position to raise funds for charity through what they do best, make food. Whether it is this type of cookie promotion, the Share Our Strength Dine Out initiative or a chef using his talents to provide food for those in need, food and charity fundraisers are usually well received.

While this Smile Cookie is a limited offer, it would be nice to see the event come back periodically throughout the year. Charities can always use monetary support and everyone can use an extra smile.

The special cookie is just a $1, plus tax. 100% of the proceeds are donated to charity. For more information on this promotion, please visit the Tim Hortons website.
