Move over Halloween candy. Halloween ice cream is taking over the dessert table and everyone will be screaming for these frozen desserts.

Around Halloween time, an extra dessert is definitely a trick not a treat. Luckily some tasty Halloween ice cream is ready to satisfy that sweet tooth. Don’t worry, there’s nothing spooky hiding in these bowls.

As Halloween approaches, foodies start dipping into those seasonal treats. For a period of time, pumpkin spice takes a back seat to something a little sweeter. While candy often fills the grocery basket, Halloween ice cream is a limited time treat that deserves some attention.

Luckily this year several ice cream companies are tempting everyone’s will power with some delectable delights. It might be worth a few extra miles on the treadmill to have a second or third scoop.

Here are some Halloween ice cream treats that FoodSided recommends this year.

Carvel’s and Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween

If you haven’t watched Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween, you better grab your ice cream bowl and sit down on the couch. To celebrate this partnership, Carvel launched some limited edition, themed treats in addition to its traditional Halloween-themed cakes.

Don’t miss the 31 Nights of Halloween Slime Shake. While this shake looks creepy, it is definitely tasty. The cookies and cream shake has some edible slime and a little whipped cream. Do you dare to try it? Hurry before it disappears after October 31.

Baskin-Robbins’ Ghost Cake is a two-colored stripe cake topped with buttercream ghosts, pieces of KIT-KAT® and Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups, chocolate drips and a Halloween sprinkle mix. For more information, visit www.baskinrobbins.com.

Baskin-Robbins

When it comes to ice cream, Baskin-Robbins is always a great choice. Just in time for Halloween, the brand is adding a fun, yet frightful spin on the holiday treat.

The Fright Night Scoop takes the flavor of the month, Candy Mashup, and adds some more Halloween decoration. Don’t worry about that zombie hand, it is definitely a sweet treat.

If you are hosting a party, consider one of the Baskin-Robbins cakes. The Ghost Cake and the Spider Web cake are definitely a Halloween must.

Cold Stone

Are you ready to get boo-ed? Cold Stone has created Boo Batter Ice cream for the annual spooky celebration. While the flavor isn’t scary (it is cake batter), the color is a little creepy.

Colored black, the dark color might be hiding something mixed in the frozen treat. Truthfully, the Treat Or Treat Creation is filled with your favorite candies. There should be nothing hiding in the bottom of that waffle cone.

These Halloween ice cream options are just a few of the many Halloween treats that are available this month. Just because it is the spooky season, doesn’t mean that you can’t have a little fun.
