Raise your hands in victory, Kentucky Fried Wings are here to stay

Football and chicken wings are a winning combination. KFC announced that Kentucky Fried Wings are now part of the permanent menu.

While an epic hail mary can make football fans cheer in delight, Kentucky Fried Wings make even the dropped pass at the end of the half seem not as disheartening. Now part of the permanent KFC menu, these finger lickin’ good wings ensure every football event scores with tasty food.

Chicken wings and football are always a winning combination. While people might debate the ranch versus blue cheese pairing, a hot, fresh chicken wing is always a winning choice. By making the Kentucky Fried Wings a permanent part of the KFC menu, the next tailgating event is even easier.

The hot, fresh wings are ready when you want them to be. Available in three sauces, Nashville Hot, Buffalo or Honey BBQ, the only difficult choice is deciding how many to order. Using “KFC’s proprietary process,” the wings are perfectly crispy on the outside yet moist and juicy on the outside. Just don’t spill on your favorite football jersey.

Looking at the three flavors, it is nice to have a sweeter option available. While Buffalo is always a popular wing flavor and Nashville Hot is food trend, some people prefer a more mild taste. The Honey BBQ has just the right amount of tang without lighting your mouth on fire. In some ways, you might not even want that dipping sauce.

In addition to making the Kentucky Fried Wings a permanent menu item, KFC is celebrating by offering free delivery. According to KFC, “ow through November 24, customers in the U.S. will automatically receive free delivery on orders $12+ when they order through kfc.com through Grubhub.com; Seamless.com, Grubhub’s NYC brand; or the respective brand apps. During this promotional period, free delivery will be available at more than 2,600 participating KFC restaurant locations (no special code needed).”

This free delivery offer is a must for football fans. First, no one ever wants to run out of food on game day. That scenario is the worst party foul.

Second, no one wants to be the guy who has to go pick up the food. Unless you want to be responsible for causing that double doink for the rest of the season, let everyone sit back on the couch and let food come to you.

As seen in the lasted KFC Colonel ad, everyone wants to be a winner like Rudy. The new chicken wings can help keep that win mentality going. And, the new ads, featuring the Rudy III, will begin airing on October 13.
