Halloween Baking Championship preview: What is lurking in the graveyard
As Halloween Baking Championship Season 5 nears the end, which baker will dig to the bottom of their baking basket and pull out another win?
Halloween Baking Championship takes a dark, scary turn on this week’s episode. While each episode tends to have a little scary twist, this week’s episode takes a gravely turn. Which baker will make his final dessert of the season?
According to Food Network, this week’s episode, “Gravely Delicious Desserts,” synopsis states:
"John Henson hosts as the remaining four bakers go digging to create terrifyingly tasty grave-robber desserts. Then for the main heat, it’s a night at the cemetery as the competitors sculpt marbled tomb cakes to impress judges Carla Hall, Katie Lee and Zac Young to land a spot in the finale."
Looking at these baking challenges, it seems that this week’s episode takes a darker turn. For the pre-heat, the idea of a grave-robber dessert seems unusual. How will the bakers convey this particular theme?
For the main heat, marbled tomb cakes will definitely take a deft hand. While sculpted cakes are never easy, the ability to make a marbled caked is equally as difficult. It will be curious to see if Karl continues his winning ways.
With only one more episode till a champion is crowned in Halloween Baking Championship, the competition is still undecided. While Karl continues to excel, Julie seems to possess a lot of skills in the kitchen. Could the pastry instructor really mount a challenge?
The biggest battle could be between Peter and Jessica. Both bakers have had good and not so good creations. Most likely it will depend which baker performs best under pressure.
