Finish the fight with these tasty World Series bites at Nationals Park
As the World Series heads to Nationals Park, these tasty bites will help fans cheese on the Washington Nationals as they finish the fight to the title.
The Washington Nationals are in the middle of a historic season. As the team looks to finish the fight, Nationals Park is serving some fall classic specials and some fan favorites which can hopefully bring victory to the home team. Which dishes will score with fans?
According to Nationals Park hospitality provider Levy Restaurants, Nationals fans are a hungry group. It is anticipated that fans will eat 24,000 hot dogs, 7,200 slices of pizza and 4,500 Shack Burgers. Luckily, there are 21 chefs and 1,200 team members who will be serving all those hungry World Series fans.
Since the World Series is a special occasion, Levy has created some fall classic specials just for the championship. A few ideas celebrate the local team. For example, Natural Light Seltzer will be “Nationals Light Seltzer” for the game.
Also, there is a World Series ”Fall Classic” cocktail. Served in a Souvenir cocktail shaker, the cocktail features apple cider, Buffalo Trace and ginger ale.
While a celebratory beverage is delightful, the special menu items cannot be missed. The Mambo Chicken Donut will probably be the most popular dish. Ditching a traditional bun for a glazed donut, a fried chicken breast is covered in Mambo Sauce. It will be the perfect combination of sweet and tangy. Just remember to get some extra napkins.

For the hearty appetite, the jumbo turkey wing platter is huge. The two-pound roasted turkey wing looks like Thanksgiving on a plate. Served with “Cornbread Stuffing, Turkey Gravy, Candied Sweet Potatoes, and Cranberry Sauce” this dish might make you rethink what you’re serving for Thanksgiving dinner.

Lastly, happy times deserve a sweet treat. The dark chocolate dessert bag is probably one of the more unusual stadium desserts. Filled with white chocolate mousse, berries and brownie crumble, it will be curious to see if people eat the bag or the filling first.
In addition to the fall classic specials, fan favorites are back. From the Hank’s Oyster Po’Boy to the Pupusa Mixta, these foods are big foodie finds. For more traditional options, the steak sandwich is always a top choice.
