Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge Season 2 episode 3 preview
The countdown is on to the biggest eating holiday. Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge is getting ready for Thanksgiving Week, are you?
From planning the menu to buying the turkey, Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge is getting everyone excite about the upcoming food feast. Which of the four remaining chefs will create the ultimate food spread that will satisfy all of the guests?
According to the Food Network, this week’s Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge episode, “Thanksgiving Week” features the following:
"Giada De Laurentiis challenges the four remaining chefs to embrace not just Thanksgiving Day but the whole week by creating their version of Friendsgiving dinner. The chefs are also paired up to compete as a team using an nontraditional Thanksgiving protein. In the dinner round, the chefs compete solo, making a dinner that incorporates a protein, veggie, starch and sweet from Giada’s Black Friday table. Judges Alex Guarnaschelli, Carla Hall and Christian Petroni decide which chef heads home while the others move on to the finale."
Over the years, the idea of a Friendsgiving is just as popular as a traditional family Thanksgiving. The pressures of dealing with family over the holidays can make people avoid the annual feasting tradition. Sometimes, friends can be a little more festive than family.
Looking at the first challenge, this team challenge could cause some tension. If the teams do not have the same vision, it can be a battle of wills. In many ways, that scenario sounds more little a family Thanksgiving event.
A non-traditional Thanksgiving protein could be an interesting twist. As more people go plant-based or just don’t like turkey, this challenge could be a great reminder that Thanksgiving is about the time spent around the table as much as the food served on the table.
As for the second challenge, this concept is a little difficult to understand based on the synopsis. What is a Black Friday table? Maybe in a way, this challenge is more like a leftovers table. Who doesn’t need a great leftovers recipe.
