Girl Scout Cookie Championship is coming to Food Network
Who can resist Girl Scout Cookies? Food Network is taking that classic cookie and turning it into the new show Girl Scout Cookie Championship.
The new year is looking sweet on Food Network. Girl Scout Cookie Championship could be the cookie inspiration that everyone needs for the new year. Combining baking and business ingenuity, this new food competition could have you wishing for taste-o-vision.
According to the Food Network, this competition series is a collaboration between the brand and Girl Scouts of the USA. The four-episode event will take a different look at the annual phenomenon of Girl Scout Cookies. This show is definitely more than hiding a bunch of thin mints in the freezer.
Hosted by Alyson Hannigan and judged by Carla Hall, Katie Lee and Nacho Aguirre, the new show looks to be as entertaining as it is tasty. Who wants to bet that Nacho will make a “it’s so fluffy” reference? It looks to be a very entertaining show.
Like many households, Girl Scout Cookies are an annual event. Whether someone in your house sells them, you buy a box or you horde a case until the next year, these cookies are part of the pop culture collective.
Today, those cookies have sparked beverages, candy flavors and even some special pairing menus. Everyone seems to have some type of story that is tied to these classic cookies.

According to the Food Network, “each episode challenges five accomplished bakers to transform Girl Scout Cookies into show-stopping edible pieces of art.” While these talented bakers might be extremely creative, the concept is definitely applicable to any home baker. Why can’t those Thin Mints become a pie or Peanut Butter cookies transform into a cake?
While the confectionary delights wow the audience, this program is more than that visual. Just like Girl Scout cookies are a business learning tool, this program seeks to highlight that aspect, too. Girl Scouts of the USA CEO, Sylvia Acevedo says. “These beloved treats are part of the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world-each purchase helps girls learn important business skills and have impactful leadership experiences.”
Part of each episode involves the bakers marketing their newly created treats. Just like in the real world, smart business is balanced with beautiful creations.
Girl Scout Championship is set to premiere on Monday, February 3 at 8 p.m. EST.
