Super Bowl 54: Pizza Hut Super Bowl Babies are a thing again
Pizza Hut’s Super Bowl Babies promo is back for Super Bowl 54 (Super Bowl LIV).
PIzza Hut’s Super Bowl Babies promo is back just in time for Super Bowl 54 (technically Super Bowl LIV), which will pit the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers at Hard Rock Stadium at 6:40 p.m. ET in Miami on Fox on Sunday, February 2.
Since Super Bowl Sunday falls on 2-2-2020 this year, Pizza Hut is doubling things up to celebrate the first set of twins born after the kickoff of the game.
The winning family welcoming a pair of twins to their roster will receive a trip for two to Super Bowl LV, in addition to two years’ worth of free pizza and $22,000 towards the twins’ educations from the BOOK IT! program and a custom-curated library starter pack of books from the BOOK IT! team.
Devin (safety) and Jason McCourty (cornerback), who won Super Bowl LIII together last year with the New England Patriots, are helping out with this campaign.
“We know that parents don’t get an offseason, so as twins and parents ourselves, we’re pumped to honor one lucky family welcoming twins on Super Bowl Sunday!” Jason said in a press release.
To enter, parents just need to post a picture of their new twins on Twitter, and in the caption including the exact time of birth, then tagging Pizza Hut (@PizzaHut is their handle) along with the hashtags #PHTwins2Win and #Promotion.
Usually these sorts of promotions feel a little off-putting, though in this case it seems like a good thing, since expectant fathers will likely be following the game to ward off anxiety while waiting.
For the plethora of fans at home who are not expecting parents but still want to win free stuff anyway, they can follow the prompts Pizza Hut provides on their Twitter by tagging the company in their responses, along with the hashtag #HutHutSweeps. They could win free pizza, or possibly even a trip to this year’s NFL Draft in Las Vegas.
Pizza Hut is delivering about 30,000 free pizzas throughout the Miami area this week, using a variety of methods among their Pizza Hut Delivery Fleet ranging from F-250 pickup trucks to mopeds.
The most famous set of twins to play in the NFL would be Tiki and Ronde Barber, New York Giants running back and Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback, respectively. Besides the McCourty brothers, the Seattle Seahawks also currently have twins on their roster in Shaquill (cornerback) and Shaqueem (fullback) Griffin.
