KFC Beyond Fried Chicken is back, but where can you get a taste test?
Last year KFC Beyond Fried Chicken had a hugely successful launch in one, just one, restaurant in Atlanta. Now, KFC is bringing the plant-based food option back, for some.
Did you crave a taste of KFC Beyond Fried Chicken? In a matter of hours, that plant-based, finger licking good chicken was devoured by KFC fans and curious foodies. After the big success, KFC has decided to offer the Beyond Fried Chicken again. But, there is a little catch.
The KFC Beyond Fried Chicken, a collaboration between KFC and Beyond Meat, worked together to relaunch this menu offering. Based on feedback from that one test market, the two brands refined the recipe. The new recipe is said to look and taste like KFC’s world famous fried chicken.
While this expansion is good news, it is still a very limited offer. The KFC Beyond Fried Chicken will be available in Charlotte, Nashville and surrounding areas. It will be available February 3 through February 23. But, it is only available while supplies last. If you want to sample this plant-based chicken, it is best to try it as soon as possible, before it runs out.
It is interesting that KFC expanded to Nashville. Nashville Hot Chicken is an iconic food. From the intense heat to that pickle, people have very strong opinions about chicken in Nashville.
Still, Nashville is a big foodie city and is often willing to explore new foods. The food launch could be very well received. Everyone will have to wait and see.
Overall, the Beyond Fried Chicken will be available in 70 restaurants. Based on that number, it seems likely that a national launch could happen later this year. Like other quick service plant based food launches, these type of small scale releases predict a national launch.
What do you think of KFC Beyond Fried Chicken? Do you think that it will be available nationwide by the end of the year?
