Who needs a guy to feel like a queen? Burger King and Birds of Prey are celebrating Anti-Valentine’s Day because a break-up shouldn’t tarnish anyone’s crown.

As more and more people swoon over Valentine’s Day, Burger King is going in a different direction. Sometimes standing on your own is better than anyone being part of a couple. Harley Quinn broke free of her Joker, should everyone celebrate their own emancipation?

The highly anticipated movie, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is hitting theaters on February 7. Since Harley Quinn is celebrating her freedom from The Joker, Burger King wants to celebrate, too. On that super love filled day, why not take the opposite approach and celebrate Anti-Valentine’s Day.

This Valentine’s Day, in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Boston, guests can celebrate the Anti-Valentine’s Day with a free Whopper. By bringing in a piece of that “bad romance,” guests can exchange it for a free Whopper.

Simply place that photo, college sweatshirt or sad teddy bear and put it in the specially marked break up box. While it isn’t exactly the same as tearing something to shreds or burning a likeness in effigy, it can be quite cathartic. More importantly, you get a free Whopper.

Also, those lucky people in New York City get a special experience. One store in New York City is transforming into “Burger Quinn.” Every aspect of the store will have a Harley Quinn stamp. The havoc will have taken over the queue, the bathroom and maybe even guests’ attitude.

It is time to put on a hot pink #BurgerQuinn crown, embrace that irreverent style and celebrate your own emancipation on Anti-Valentine’s Day. What are you waiting for?

Even if you aren’t in New York City or one of the locations with a break-up box, Burger King is offering everyone a little gift. There will be an in-app quiz which can earn guests a $3 Whopper. To get the discount, guests must get four out of five questions correct.
