Planning on watching the Academy Awards? These creative movie cocktails are the perfect way to toast the Oscars and the best movies.

From classic cocktails to new favorites, creative movie cocktails can be the perfect way to celebrate the annual Academy Awards ceremony. While very few people will ever hold an Oscar, let alone win an Oscar, everyone has a favorite best picture nominee. Why not celebrate the best of the movies with a special cocktail in their honor.

If you would rather celebrate the movies, Tequila Don Julio shared their Governor’s Ball official cocktails. These cocktails, by Charles Joly, take an elevated approach to the classic cocktails. Just like the awards ceremony, there is a little extra sparkle in these cocktails.

Of course, a simple glass of sparkling wine or champagne can be a lovely option. Even a few individual sized bottles can make you feel like a star.

If you prefer creative cocktails based on some of the best picture nominees, Cointreau has created a few cocktails that are perfect for the occasion. From a little laugh to a bold spice, these cocktails will have everyone taking notice, like that gorgeous gown on the red carpet.
