Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back: Southern Kitchen preview
Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back are back in Virgina for another restaurant takeover. Will Southern Kitchen find the spark of success?
Sometimes the family table needs a new spark. On this week’s Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Chef Ramsay is bringing this family restaurant back from the edge. While the family ties run deep, this Southern restaurant needs to deliver with delicious meals.
According to FOX, this week’s Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back episode, “Southern Kitchen” episode features the following:
"Gordon Ramsay’s “Hell On Wheels” travels to Southern Kitchen, a traditional Southern food restaurant located in Richmond, VA. Chef Ramsay and his crew find a tight-knit family being torn apart by bankruptcy after putting everything they have into their business. Ramsay will try to bring this failing restaurant back from the brink of disaster – all in just 24 hours. As the clock ticks down, Ramsay and his team transform this restaurant with a spectacular renovation, a fresh new menu and hope for the future in the all-new “Southern Kitchen” episode of GORDON RAMSAY’S 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK airing Tuesday, Feb. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HRS-306) (TV-14 D, L)"
Now, everyone will probably make a big deal about Gordon in a wig and dressed as a woman. Of course, this moment will get everyone doing a double take. Sorry, Chef Ramsay, you should have left the costume in the closet.
For foodies, the best parts of any of these restaurant makeover shows are the chef demos. Although many people think that they cannot create a restaurant meal at home, they really can. The concepts are more simple that they realize.
Looking as some of the preview clips and photos, this week’s chef demo should be quite good. From a Southern Style shrimp and grits to chicken and collard greens, the demos could be a great way to learn some tricks from the master.
Still, a great recipe and an amazing chef are only part of a successful restaurant. With a little research, it seems that Southern Kitchen is doing well. Based on an interview on Richmond.com, the owner seems happy with her experience.
But, the true test comes six months after tonight’s episode airs. Restaurant owners and chefs need to keep on track. If they go back to their old ways, no appearance by Gordon Ramsay will make that restaurant remain in business.
