Chicago has proved itself as a culinary town. This year’s NBA All Star Game menu could have people wishing that the weekend’s activities lasted a lot longer. With so many tasty options, it can be difficult to sample them all.
Levy Restaurants, the United Center’s hospitality partner, has created a vast and varied menu that is almost like visiting one of Chicago’s celebrated chef’s restaurants. Even some of the iconic restaurants and chefs are featured on this special menu.
Looking at this special menu, there are a few menu items that should top any fans must try list. Here are FoodSided’s recommendations.
This Little Goat Went to the Taqueria G.O.A.T. Tacos
Who doesn’t love a Stephanie Izard dish? The celebrated chef has brought some of her Little Goat specialties to the big game. Definitely do not miss the opportunity to try these tasty treats.
Chicken Chorizo Loaded Waffle Fries
Can anyone resist loaded fries? This version is piled high with chorizo sausage, avocado, pickled red onions and black bean corn relish. All those seasoned waffle fries absorb all those flavors. Grab a fork and dig in.
Lillie’s Q BBQ Sample Platter
Did you know that Chicago has some amazing BBQ and Lillie’s Q is top notch. This sampler platter included smoked brisket, pulled pork and a hot link. While it comes with sides, you might want to focus on all that meat.
Queenie’s Legacy Triple Q Burger
If you want this burger, make sure that you have a big appetite. The three grass-fed beef patties are topped with gruyere and caramelized shallots. Served with fresh cut fries and truffle mayo, it is a big meal.
Gibson’s Lobster Roll
If you have never had a Gibson’s lobster roll, here is your chance. The big, buttery pieces of fresh lobster are served in a classic, toasted New England roll. Of course, it comes with Gibson’s iconic pink mayo.
Chicago Footlong Dog
If you go to Chicago and don’t enjoy at least one Chicago Dog, you are missing out. This large version has been dragged through the garden. Just don’t dare ask for ketchup.
Plus, there are all types of signature beverages, like Goose Island Beer, special margaritas and more. Also, Mindy’s Hot Chocolate has provided some special cookies, Honey Butter Fried Chicken will be serving its Chocolate Strawberry Dump Cake and Stan’s Donuts have some treats, too.
