Worst Cooks in America Season 18 episode 7 preview: Sweet love
Are you feeling the love? In this week’s Worst Cooks in America episode, the recruits are whipping up some sweet treats that hopefully keep them in the competition.
The Worst Cooks in America are hoping to find something sweet in the kitchen. With all of Alton’s salty remarks, a little dessert could make that biting medicine go down. Will these recruits whip themselves into shape or will these sweet treats fall flat?
According to the Food Network, this week’s Worst Cooks in America episode, “Amore Sucre” features the following:
"It’s a sweet week in boot camp, with the recruits playing a culinary version of Candyland in which they must identify sweet treats using all their senses. In the skill drill challenge, the recruits make napoleons. For the main dish challenge, Alton Brown and Anne Burrell mentor the recruits as they make a citrus tart with a meringue, but whoever fails to whip their dish into shape goes home."
The taste test challenges are interesting for these recruits. While the recruits are learning more about cooking, a good palate takes times to develop. They may or may not be able to identify all these sweet treats. In some ways, this challenge is more about seeing them get the answers wrong than getting them correct.
As for an episode focused on baking, the recruits better pay attention. Although the recruits need to keep their heads out of their notebooks, they do need to understand that baking is not cooking. Measurements and details matter in baking.

The biggest challenge for these Worst Cooks will probably be the meringue. Whipping those stiff peaks is more difficult that it looks. Hopefully no one will be torching that meringue or there better be a fire extinguisher in the kitchen.
