Do you love your neighborhood bar? Jameson Irish Whiskey and Anderson .Paak think that this St. Patrick’s Day should to celebrate that local watering hole.

James Irish Whiskey and St. Patrick’s Day have always been a classic pairing. Whether enjoyed at home or with friends at a bar, the classic Irish whiskey has everyone feeling a little Irish. This year, Jameson is teaming up with GRAMMY award-winning musician and producer Anderson .Paak to put a local spin on the St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Who will you be meeting at the bar?

While everyone shouting your name as you walk through the door might not happen, many people have a favorite local bar. It could be the bar down the street, the place with the best band on Saturday night or the place where you always watch the Packers play on Sunday. No matter the reason, many people have a spot that they consider “their place.”

This St. Patrick’s Day, Jameson and .Paak are partnering to celebrate those local bars. While it is partially about the location, the idea is to celebrate what happens at those local establishments. From the celebratory beverage to toast a new job to the conciliatory cocktail to bring a smile after a break-up, that bar is more about the connections made than just the beverages on the menu.

With those ideas in mind, Jameson Irish Whiskey wants people share their favorite local bars ahead of St. Patrick’s Day. The #MeetMeAtTheBar challenge has people across the nation sharing why they enjoy hanging out with others at their local hangout. The state with the most votes will have one local bar get a special concert from .Paak.

Marnie Corrigan, Jameson’s Director of Engagement at Pernod Ricard USA. “The bar continues to be a place that brings people together, and we want to spotlight its impact not only on Jameson, but on how it shapes the culture and spirit of a neighborhood. This St. Patrick’s Day we are thrilled to once again celebrate local neighborhood bars and the people in them, and we couldn’t think of a better partner than Anderson .Paak to help make this possible.”

In the age where everyone seems to be attached to their phones, that local bar can be a great place to have a real, face to face conversation. As people share stories and experiences, it can bring them together. Maybe that person at the end of the bar went to the same grade school or have a love of the same football team. Those little conversations can spark something more.

While this promotion comes ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, the fun doesn’t have to stop after finding that pot of gold. Good conversation, good time and good friends last all year long.
