Worst Cooks in America Season 18 episode 9 preview: High steaks
As this Worst Cooks in America nears its finale, the recruits understand that the pressure is high. Who will earn their spot in the finale?
Four recruits remain in Worst Cooks in America. While Alton Brown seems to be wishing this season away, the recruits are starting to make some progress. Although they might not be on caliber with professional chefs, they should be able to make some tasty meals for their families. With the finale looming, which recruits will embrace these “High Steaks?”
According to the Food Network, this week’s episode of Worst Cooks in America, “High Steaks” features the following:
"In the penultimate skill drill challenge, the recruits play remote-control chef and instruct Alton Brown and Anne Burrell in how to make a dish they cannot see or taste. For the main dish challenge, the recruits have to make a steak dish. The stakes are high, and only the recruits with the two best dishes make it to the finale."
Based on this season, the first challenge is going to be a disaster. Alton and his recruits have difficulty communicating. From going off task to disorganization, it is generally a disaster waiting to happen.
Hopefully, the dish is something relatively straightforward. Giving these recruits a dish that is too complicated would be just cruel.
As for the elimination challenge, a steak challenge should be relatively straight forward. Making a delicious steak shouldn’t be too hard for these recruits. The key is proper cooking.
Hopefully, Worst Cooks in America will stay away from the reverse sear or sous vide cooking. Everyone will be grateful for a steak cooked in a cast iron pan and some simple seasonings. This challenge should be about letting the steak shine.
Which two recruits will make the Worst Cooks in America finale? It doesn’t seem that anyone can predict this season’s outcome. The only thing that has rang true is that Alton seemed frustrated with his role in this Food Network show.
