In the newest Food Network culinary competition, Vegas Chef Prizefight has eight chefs vying for the position of Head Chef at the Flamingo Resort and Casino. Who will play their cards right?

As Vegas stakes its claim in the culinary scene, Vegas Chef Prizefight gives these chefs the opportunity of a lifetime. While each of the chefs are accomplished in the culinary world, an opportunity to be the Head Chef at the Flamingo Resort and Casino cannot be passed over. Which chef is can earn the position?

According to the Food Network, the Vegas Chef Prizefight premiere episode, “Interview of a Lifetime” features the following:

"The chefs arrive in Las Vegas to start their six-week, grueling job interview for the title of Head Chef at the Flamingo Resort and Casino. First, the contestants are challenged to show their culinary point of view using an ingredient beloved by high rollers and vacationers alike. Then, the big test goes down at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino where they take over BLT Steak for an evening. Some chefs come up aces with inspired dishes, but one chef is the first to go bust."

The first challenge should give some great insight to the culinary styles of these eight chefs. Looking at the chefs they are all very accomplished. More importantly, they all have different culinary points of view. Given that all the chefs have the same ingredient, it will be interesting to see how they set themselves apart in the competition.

As for the second challenge, it will be interesting to see how this challenge is run. While the chefs are taking over a restaurant, it is unclear if they are cooking the restaurant’s dishes, their own or a combination of both. That element will impact the competition.

Additionally, it will be curious to see if the chefs work independently or if they have to work the line together. Depending on what each chef has to cook and how tasks are divided could determine the outcome.

Looking over the chefs in the competition, it is hard to determine if anyone has an advantage or disadvantage. Everyone is eager for this job, otherwise they would not have entered the competition. Still, one bad day in the kitchen can see their dream go up in smoke.
