Buddy vs Duff Season 2 episode 2 preview: Are these cakes Jurassic?
After last week’s premiere, Buddy vs Duff Season 2 episode 2 is going back in time. Could these dinosaur cakes be the most epic creations yet?
Buddy vs Duff Season 2 is heating up to be another epic battle between Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman. While only a half a point separates them after episode one, this season looks to be even more impressive than last season’s finale. Will Buddy or Duff create a substantial lead in this week’s episode?
According to Food Network, Buddy vs Duff Season 2 episode 2 “Dinosaur Cakes” features the following:
"Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman embark on the ultimate journey back in time to create the most realistic dinosaur cakes ever made as centerpieces for a fun-filled sleepover at the American Museum of Natural History."
Thinking about this challenge, there seems to a pattern with the teams’ cakes. Buddy tends to go huge and Duff focuses on the details. It doesn’t seem that they will break from this pattern.
Even though the score was quite close, last week’s cakes were quite different. Given the judging parameters, it will come down to how well each team interprets the theme. Everyone can expect the competition to keep going back and forth.

Still, the team aspect of this competition changes the possibilities. It is interesting that Team Duff doesn’t have a sugar artist. Even though the “apple” might have been mistaken as a “cherry,” the sugar designs could make a difference.
Team Duff will focus on the details. His team knows how to make realistic artistic cakes. For a dinosaur cake, it will be interesting to see which dinosaur he chooses to interpret.
In this week’s challenge, it will be interesting to see if either cake uses some special effects. While it doesn’t seem likely that the cakes will stomp around the museum, a few special effects might push these dinosaur cakes over the top.
