This Spring Baking Championship episode is the baking happy everyone needs. From kittyclairs to puppy games, the episode is too sweet for words.

Spring Baking Championship is back with quite possibly its cutest episode ever. While the nine remaining bakers are trying to set themselves apart from the pack, these puppy games might make everyone a winner. Who is ready to watch this super sweet Food Network episode?

According to Food Network, this week’s Spring Baking Championship episode, “The One About Puppies and Kitties” features the following:

"It’s raining cats and dogs as the nine competing bakers make “kittyclairs” — eclairs with an orange kitty theme. Then they play puppy games, making desserts with sporty themes like a kayaking poodle and a tennis-loving Labrador."

First, the idea of kittyclairs are adorable. Why someone hadn’t thought about this idea before is baffling. It will be interesting to see if anyone goes with a “grumpy cat” interpretation for these kittyclairs.

While the decoration will be the focus of the eclairs challenge, the orange aspect could be even more challenging. The orange flavor needs to be balanced. Hopefully, these bakers find a way to make that orange flavor “springy.” Remember, Nancy is always looking for Spring.

In the main heat, the sporty dog theme could be quite adorable. Similar to the kittyclairs, who can’t help but smile when they see dogs playing sports.

Given that the synopsis refers to desserts, it will be interesting to see which desserts that the bakers choose to make. Some desserts might be more conducive to this challenge. Also, it would be nice to find a way to balance the theme with the dessert. Hopefully, someone pushes the creativity beyond the decoration.

Lastly, there is always a twist. After last week’s 10 minute reduction twist, this season’s twists seem more extreme. Losing 10 minutes was much more difficult that having to incorporate a particular ingredient or flavor. The twists could be a huge game changer.
