Buddy vs Duff Season 2 episode 3 preview: Ready to joust?
In this week’s Buddy vs Duff episode, the baking teams prepare for battle. Which team will win the favor of the kingdom with another ambitious cake?
Going into the third episode of Buddy vs Duff, the battle lines have been drawn. While the first challenge was fairly even, Buddy took a commanding lead in episode two. Still, it isn’t about the team who throws the first jab, it is about who wins the final battle.
According to the Food Network, this week’s Buddy vs Duff episode, “Medieval Times Cake,” features the following:
"Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman conjure up cakes filled with special effects to celebrate the fantasy and fun of Medieval Times’ 30th anniversary. Sword fighting, jousts and royal pageantry inspire them to make two of their most ambitious cakes yet."
While Duff has focused on the details in his cakes, it seems that this week will be different. Based on preview clips, Duff goes huge in this week’s cake battle. Although a unicorn might be more mythical than realistic. If the judges do not appreciate his interpretation, the difference in scores could remain great.
In the first two episodes, it seems that there is something that the judges want in each episode. Although there is a theme and a direction, there are aspects that either make these cakes successful or not. It is more than just executing a visually stunning cake.
Thinking about this week’s theme, Duff could make a comeback in this challenge. If the idea is to create a fantasy cake, Duff should excel. Those whimsical, creative cakes are his specialty.
Still, in any Buddy vs Duff episode, anything can and does happen. Even if Buddy builds a huge lead, this season will come down to the final challenge.
