Even during social distancing, National Burrito Day is here. While you will have to enjoy that tasty burrito at home, you can get a free burrito, which is a reason to celebrate.

The first Thursday in April is always National Burrito Day. Even while everyone stays home, the food holiday is a great excuse to enjoy a burrito, or maybe even two. Plus, a few places are even offering a free burrito promotion.

In many ways, a burrito is type of comfort food. Whether you have breakfast burrito in the morning, a burrito at lunch or a couple of burritos for dinner, that food can make you feel a little better. Right now, everyone can use a little happy throughout the day.

Since everyone could use a little touch of normal, a few restaurants are offering National Burrito Day deals. Why not grab a burrito try to focus on a the positive.

Del Taco

For the food holiday, Del Taco will offer guests a free Chicken Crunch Burrito with any purchase via the Del Taco app. The offer is good for drive-thru, takeout or delivery.

Tijuana Flats

For just $5.99, guests can get a burrito (or bowl), chips and a drink. That price is a great deal for all that food.

El Pollo Loco

At participating locations, there is a coupon for BOGO burritos. Check with the El Pollo Loco website for the coupon.

Chipotle

On National Burrito Day, customers will get a free order of Queso Blanco when it is added to entrée. Also, any order over $10 will have free delivery through April 30.

Chipotle wants to help the hard working, dedicated healthcare workers. Through April 2, “workers (can) register their office or hospital division to receive 25 free burritos during World Health Worker Week. Chipotle, alongside its fulfillment partner DoorDash, will give away a total of up to 100,000 burritos to the brave individuals helping others on the frontline from April 6 – 10.”

Even though this year’s food holiday looks quite different, celebrating National Burrito Day can be a little taste of normal. Whether you enjoy one of these offers, purchase a burrito from your favorite local restaurant or make a burrito at home, sometimes it is good to find the normal in the world of uncertainty.
