Sometimes on a hot summer day, an iced, cold refreshing sip is the best way to cool-off. The new Dunkin Refreshers are brightly colored beverages that will have everyone felling ready to tackle the day.

This new Dunkin beverage comes in two flavors, Strawberry Dragonfruit and Peach Passion Fruit. While these flavors have a touch of exotic flavor notes, the flavors are approachable enough that everyone will want to try one at least once.

Looking back a couple of years, dragonfruit and passion fruit would not be the top choices for beverages. As consumers embrace more global flavors, these fruits are almost as common as apples and bananas.

Looking at the description, the drinks are made with “iced green tea, flavored fruit concentrate and B vitamins.” The blending of green tea and fruit flavors is an interesting choice. While Dunkin did have a matcha latte, this iced beverage seems a little more approachable for guests. The addition of fruit adds a touch of sweetness.

Plus, each beverage is under 200 calories and are without artificial dyes and flavors. Since many people like lighter options during warmer weather, these beverages could be a huge hit.

Additionally, Dunkin is focusing on the energizing factor in these beverages. According to Jill Nelson, Vice President, Marketing Strategy at Dunkin, she said “’it’s the perfect time for something fresh and exciting to energize and enliven people again. With a combination of iced green tea, B vitamins, and bright bursts of flavor, Dunkin’ Refreshers stand apart as the perfect, new choice to help anyone get their glow back.”

While drinking the beverage may not give you the perfect summer glow, it can give you a little refreshment during the day. Given today’s climate, everyone can appreciate a little colorful boost to their day.

To kick off this new beverage offering, Dunkin will be offering medium Dunkin Refreshers for $2 all day. This special offer is available through July 28. Given the price, many people will want to try this new beverage at least once.
