Top Chef All Stars LA Season 17 finale preview: Final three chefs
Three chefs remain in Top Chef All Stars LA finale, but only one will win.
After epic challenges. Top Chef All Stars LA finale has three celebrated chefs left. While Bryan, Melissa and Stephanie have had highlights and low moments, the Top Chef title is determined by the finale meal. Which chef will join the elite group of Top Chef winners?
According to Bravo, the finale, “Finito” episode of the season features the following:
"In an epic Italian showdown, the final three All Stars cook the meal of their lives in an effort to take home the ultimate title and prize. To win, all they’ll need to impress not only the judges – Tom, Padma, Gail and Nilou Motamed, but also culinary superstars Mauro Colagreco, Clare Smyth, Marcus Samuelsson, Janice Wong, Tony Mantuano, Eighth Generation Italian Butcher Dario Cecchini and Food & Wine magazine’s Hunter Lewis. It’s a fight to the bitter end, but only one will be have their second chance to finally be crowned Top Chef."
Impressing the guests at the Final Table is going to be quite difficult. From the impeccable Clare Smyth to the thoughtful Marcus Samuelsson, these chefs are expecting the ultimate meal. There is no room to hide.
Looking at the three remaining chefs, Stephanie is probably the biggest underdog. Still, in the past couple of challenges, she has risen to the opportunity. In a way, she gained confidence challenge after challenge.
One aspect that might hurt her chances is her sous chef, Brian Malarkey. Everyone knows that Malarkey is a big personality in the kitchen, but can he channel his energy to help Stephanie earn the title?
In many ways, people expected Bryan Voltaggio to make the finale. After being a runner-up twice, he wants to win the title. But, last week’s challenges might have rattled him. No chef wants to hear that his food has no soul.
Still, Bryan shines in the finale. He can craft a theme throughout a meal better than others. With Kevin by his side, it might be his season.
Lastly, Melissa has probably had the best season. She has won numerous challenges, both Quickfires and Elimination challenges. And, she had some mistakes, too. Overall, she has grown so much from her first season.
Which chef will hear that important phrase – You are Top Chef? Everyone will have to watch the Top Chef All Stars LA finale to see. Here’s how.
