In this Big Time Bake episode, the bakers add a dash of savory flavors to their treats.

Are you ready for another Big Time Bake? In this Buddy Valastro Food Network show, the baking teams have to balance creativity with execution. Which team will earn the ultimate prize?

According to the Food Network, this week’s Big Time Bake episode, “Food Fight,” features the following:

"Tension mounts as four bakers attempt to use savory foods in their cookies, cupcakes and showpiece cakes. After six hours of intense competition, Buddy Valastro, pastry chef Lorraine Pascale and Spring Baking Championship winner Nacho Aguirre decide which baker wins an all-expenses-paid vacation to a place where time finally stands still."

Thinking about savory ingredients in a baking, some ingredients are easier than others. While many Food Network baking shows challenge bakers with savory ingredients, it will be interesting to see what ingredients that the bakers choose to use. Sometimes it can be better to make smart choices versus making bold ones.

In this challenge, it could be easy to add a touch of spice or even a little rosemary. Hopefully, the bakers will stay away from the floral ingredients. No one wants a cookie that tastes like potpourri.

Looking at this series, the bakers who understand the premise of the game have done well. The show isn’t just about the appearance of the treats, the bakers need to execute the flavors. This week’s theme is no different.
