One of the best ways to quench that thirst is with watermelon which just happens to be delightful in a July 4th cocktail. Our friends at Teremana Small Batch Tequila crafted the Watermelon Manarita.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson coined the “drink of the summer”. Teremana Blanco, fresh watermelon, lime juice and agave nectar…the perfect thirst quencher to celebrate on July 4th. Teremana Blanco has notes of bright citrus with a smooth fresh finish.
Watermelon Manarita
(Serves 6)
Ingredients:
- 12 oz Teremana Blanco
- 6 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 3 oz Agave Nectar
- 5 oz Water
- 12 to 18 Watermelon Chunks
Method:
Combine watermelon, agave nectar and water in a pitcher (or other large serving vessel) and gently muddle. Next add fresh lime juice and Teremana. Top with ice and give it a stir to incorporate the ingredients. Serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel or watermelon chunk.
Fun Facts about watermelon:
Watermelon consists of 92 percent water – so basically we are drinking our fruit – very good for summer hydration.
We usually think of watermelon as red in color, but yellow watermelons can be found at the market. So pretty and equally delicious!
The largest watermelon, according to the Guinness World Records, weighed 350.5 pounds.
What will you quench your thirst with this on this sunny 4th of July?
