Tim Hortons has just announced two new menu items, the Froot Loops Dream Donut and Froot Loop Timbits. Both sweet treats draw inspiration from the popular cereal. Although Toucan Sam might not be making these donuts in the store, he will approve of the new donut.

The Froot Loops Dream Donut has a strawberry icing base and is topped with Froot Loops and white icing drizzle. The strawberry icing is a nice touch. It will add another layer of flavor to this donut.

Granted, the donut will be sweet. You might want to have some black coffee or milk to drink with it. Still, it is a fun way to start the day.

With a more interesting flavor combination is the Froot Loop Timbits. The donut hole is citrus cake. That flavor should be bright and inviting.

The donut hole is covered in glaze and covered with crushed Froot Loop pieces. In some ways, a box of Timbits might be even more satisfying that two donuts. Also, it might be harder to stop eating the Timbits.

The new Tim Hortons Froot Loops Dream Donut and Froot Loops Timbits will be available at participating locations. The Dream Donut will retail for $1.99 and the Timbits will be $0.33 each. These special donuts will be available for a limited amount of time.
