Labor Day Cocktails – Mix It Up With Ocean Spray

Don’t let summer fade without some Labor Day cocktails!

Labor Day Cocktails are a lovely way to enjoy the last long sunny days of summer.   Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice  with a splash – or two – of rum make cocktails that are bright and refreshingly flavorful.

Have you tasted Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum? Spiced Rum is all the rage right now. It has just the right amount of sweetness, with citrus and notes of Caribbean spice. Ocean Spray updates the classic Rum Runner cocktail by adding spiced rum:

Rum Runner

Servings: 1 servings

Ingredients:

• 3 blackberries (plus additional for garnish, if desired)
• 3 ounces Ocean Spray 100% Juice Cranberry Pineapple
• 1 ounce spiced rum
• 1/2 ounce banana liqueur
• 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup

Directions:

• In a tall glass, muddle blackberries to release juice. Fill glass with ice. Add juice, rum, liqueur and syrup; stir. Top with a blackberry.

Your Labor Day festivities may not include as many guests in 2020, but they will be tickled pink with these Pink Pineapple Dream cocktails:

Pink Pineapple Dream

Servings: 1 serving

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup pineapple juice, chilled
• 2 ounces light rum
• 8.4 ounce Ocean Spray Sparkling Juice Drink, any flavor, chilled
• Fresh pineapple wedge for garnish
• Maraschino cherry for garnish

Directions:

Combine pineapple juice and rum in a tall glass filled with ice. Pour in Sparkling Juice Drink. Garnish with pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry, if desired.

Island Twist

Servings: 1 servings

Ingredients:

• 1 ounce vodka
• 5 ounces Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail
• 1/2 ounce coconut-flavored rum
• shredded coconut, garnish
• pineapple spear, garnish

Directions:

• Rim a wide mouth glass with lime and dip in shredded coconut. Fill the glass with ice. Add vodka, cranberry juice cocktail and rum. Stir to mix. Garnish with a pineapple spear, if desired. Makes one serving.
