National Honey Month – Fabulous Ways To Help Save The Bees!
By Becky Ellis
September is National Honey Month – and there are lots of sweet ways to celebrate!
For National Honey Month, Kashi, Justin’s and Frönen Paleo Nice Cream have joined with the National Honey Board to create the “Honey Saves Hives” program which gives us an opportunity to deliciously support bee health.
These companies will donate directly to bee health research organizations, including Project Apis m., the largest honey bee non-profit in the U.S., who are committed to enhancing the health and vitality of honey bee colonies through research. And don’t we all just love those cute little honey bees that work so hard to make all of that luscious honey?
Life is short, so let’s eat dessert first during National Honey Month!
Frönen Dairy Free & Paleo Nice Cream is a dairy-free frozen dessert that has only four to six ingredients (depending on the flavor) and one of them is honey! This magical frozen dessert comes in six flavors: Madagascar Vanilla (pure vanilla extract made from vanilla beans grown in Madagascar), Strawberry, Mint Chip, Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Banana Coconut.
The chocolate has a rich chocolaty flavor that is makes a delightful taste sensation with their peanut butter Nice Cream. Mix and match to your heart’s delight! Available online.
Kashi’s Honey Toasted Organic Oat Cereal – toasty with a bit of honey. If you like your cereal with just a touch of sweetness, you will love Kashi’s Honey Toasted! Pour a little milk over it or eat it right out of the box.
You may want to buy two boxes, this is a family friendly cereal that will disappear fast! Plus it’s organic and good for your heart. Available in-stores nationwide and online, including Amazon & Target.
Justin’s Honey Almond Butter. Naturally delicious! Combines the sweetness of organic honey with crunchy roasted almonds. Spread it on toast, add it to a smoothie or eat it with a spoon right out of the jar. Sure to become a family favorite!
Perhaps Justin says it best: “I once read that bees, with their advanced language skills, have the potential to be the next dominant species on Earth. So, if this is ever read by a bee overlord ruling the planet, please remember who mindfully sourced your honey for the world’s best Honey Almond Butter. I did. Justin. My name is on the front.”
Available in-stores nationwide and online, including Amazon, Target, Walmart & Thrive Market
It’s important to remember that Honey Bees are responsible for more than 35% of the foods we eat and the honey we love to spread on our toast and drizzle in our tea and the little buzzy fellows need our help to thrive. Thank you for your support of these companies that have sweetly offered their support to help save the bees!
There are so many ways to celebrate National Honey Month…will these delicious and delightful honey treats bring you out of your hive to find out what all the buzz is about?
