Baileys Apple Pie is the Apple of My Chai cocktail fall perfection
Forget pumpkin, Baileys Apple Pie is the Apple of My Chai for fall.
As the autumn chill fills the air, Baileys Apple Pie is the perfect fall sip. With the Apple of My Chai cocktail, fall flavors take center stage. Why have another pumpkin spice latte when you can have this warm, spicy and sweet fall cocktail.
Although pumpkin spice seems to be the first flavor of fall, apple flavors are just as tasty. Whether it is a crisp, crunchy apple straight from the orchard, a classic apple cider doughnut or just an apple pie, apples and fall are a delicious pairing.
The Baileys Apple Pie is a twist on the traditional Irish crème. While this liqueur is lovely over ice or even added to an after-dinner coffee, the Baileys fall flavor has a lot of versatility. The kiss of apple flavor works well in a variety of cocktails.
Baileys created a special cocktail to celebrate the fall flavors and the Baileys Apple Pie flavor. The Apple of My Chai elevates the classic chai latte. Here’s how to make one.
Baileys Apple of My Chai
Ingredients
- 2 oz Baileys Apple Pie
- 6 oz Chai Tea
- 3/4 oz Café de Olla Syrup
- 2 Drops Cardamom Bitters
- Grated Nutmeg for Garnish
Preparation
- Using a tea kettle, bring water to a boil.
- Pour 6 oz of hot water into a toddy mug.
- Make tea by steeping tea bag in hot water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags.
- Measure and add remaining ingredients (except garnish) to your mug.
- Gently and carefully mix with a bar spoon.
- Top with a sprinkle of grated nutmeg.
A few of these ingredients might not be behind the bar. The bitters will bring a more robust flavor to the cocktail. If you can’t find cardamon bitters, it is well worth having that ingredient behind the bar. Bitters are a cocktail essential.
For the home bartender, Baileys Apple Pie has a lot of versatility. A simple, yet always tasty dessert is Baileys over ice cream. Consider this liqueur over vanilla ice cream or even as a drizzle over apple pie a la mode.
Whether you try Apple of My Chai or enjoy Baileys Apple Pie in another way, don’t let the fall flavor pass by without taking a sip.
