Can Halloween Wars capture the worst blind date ever?

After a successful road trip, Halloween Wars is tackling another iconic moment, the blind date. Is this Halloween inspired scene worse than any Bachelor dating disaster?

According to the Food Network, this week’s Halloween Wars episode, “Blind Date from Hell” features the following:

"Jonathan Bennett challenges the five remaining teams — an expert pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar master — to show that there’s nothing scarier than dating as they create their scariest vision of a blind date. Actor Guillermo Diaz joins judges Shinmin Li and Todd Tucker to pick the winning team."

Thinking about this week’s theme, the teams will have to create a scarily good scene. As seen in last week’s challenge, the judges need to see all the detail and all the elements need to work together. Just like a perfect date, the display is the sum of its parts.

Most likely the team will have to sculpt at least two characters. The teams could go in different directions with this task. Whether they choose for the characters to match or to be total opposites, the execution is key.

The expressions on these characters need to be on point. It is more than just a creative scene; the characters must convey that it is a blind date from hell. A happily ever after moment does not scream Halloween Wars (or does it?).

Looking back at last week’s episode, there were both ups and downs. For example, Candy Coroners when from top to bottom. These teams need to understand that success in the Small Scare does not guarantee a free pass into the next round.
