As Official Sandwich Sponsor of the NFL, Subway is teaming with NFL legend, Deion Sanders to make big game moments even more celebratory with the Footlong Shuffle. While some elite athletes will experience greatness on the NFL field, everyone can join this friendly competition. Are your epic celebration dance moves ready? More importantly, do you have a footlong ready to enjoy afterwards?
While most NFL teams have a signature play, quarterbacks have well known snap counts and many teams have iconic celebratory moves, some players were known for a particular move. For Deion Sanders, his “Primetime” move was his signature high-step into the end zone, which often meant a big score for them Cowboys.
Sanders said, “When I was headed to the endzone, I would break out my signature high step. Big time plays deserve a celebration and even more so when they benefit a good cause like NFL PLAY 60 programs. I’m excited to help teach the new cats a little something about smooth moves with the Footlong Shuffle and see them try to recreate it on the field.”
Subway, Sanders and NFL Play 60 have come together to encourage everyone to showcase their best celebration moves, or their version of the Footlong Shuffle. Sanders has choregraphed this “Footlong Shuffle. Are you ready to show your version?
The pair are encouraging NFL players to showcase an on-the-field, Footlong Shuffle. For every player to does their version, Subway will donate $50,000 to NFL Play 60 programs. Up to $1 million will be donated by the brand
Even though fans at home might not have the big stage to show their moves, everyone can take to social media and get moving. Just because the football fan connection is via a screen doesn’t mean that the connection isn’t just as strong.
Since this program benefits NFL Play 60, Subway understands that the celebration for an epic play begins before the players take the field. With one in four children facing food insecurity, Subway is helping by collecting in restaurant donations.
Additionally, Fuel Up to Play 60 will offer parents and students the opportunity to earn 60 cent 6-inch sandwich for completing the sponsored activity logs.
