Eli Manning’s homegating gets a flavor upgrade thanks to Frank’s RedHot.

While football fans know that Frank’s RedHot brings the big, bold flavors to football food, Eli Manning learned the ins and outs of homegating during a recent event. With the help from former teammates, culinary experts and some football fans, Manning and everyone learned the tools to score a homegating win this football season.

Although everyone is cheering sports returning to the field, football fans are faced with a new scenario. Instead of heading to the stadium for the ultimate nachos, juicy burger or just that stadium pretzel, the majority of fans are watching all the action from the comfort of their couch. Now, that football food is being served from the home kitchen.

With the idea of “homegeating” becoming the new norm, football fans are looking for new ways to elevate their food game. While the football players on the field hone their craft, football fans want their “spread” to impress. What better way to celebrate another team victory than with delicious food.

Recently, Frank’s RedHot and Eli Manning partnered on an hour long live stream special. Since Manning isn’t quite as busy on football Sunday this year, he and Shaun O’Hara fielded questions from fans, played a few games and interacted with special guests like Adam Richman, Victor Cruz, Chanel Iman and Dania Falk.

Although all the football talk was quite entertaining, FoodSided is all about the food and this special event proved that Frank’s RedHot can go with everything and anything. While we don’t recommend chugging a bottle like O’Hara, it is the flavor booster for almost any food choice on your homegating spread.

Since FoodSided was homegating during the livestream, we were enjoying some of the Frank’s RedHot Thick Sauce with our smoked chicken wings. (side note – chicken wings smoked on the Big Green Egg are always a good choice).

While many people have a preferred chicken wing recipe, it can be hard to satisfy a crowd. Where some people prefer big, bold spice others might prefer a milder taste. Since the Frank’s RedHot Thick Sauce is meant for dipping, it is the perfect compromise for feeding a crowd.

The Thick Sauce comes in two varieties, Original and Buffalo Ranch. With many people prefer ranch as the chicken wing dipping sauce, the Buffalo Ranch flavor is a perfect choice to serve with chicken wings. It is a big, bold flavor yet still approachable.

Personally, we served the Buffalo Ranch Thick Sauce with our smoked chicken wings and it was a big hit. The sauce didn’t overwhelm the smoke flavor and spices on the wings. The combination of flavors was quite enjoyable.

Thinking about these Thick Sauces, they are a great option beyond chicken wings. From dunking French Fries to even toping a hamburger, the options are many. It could even be included in a tasty layered dip (recipe coming soon).

After the success of this Frank’s RedHot and Manning live stream event, it will be interesting to see what other collaborations happen throughout the football season. Although It is uncertain if Manning is a culinary great in the kitchen, maybe there could be a few more tips, tricks or even some more tasty homegating recipes coming from Frank’s RedHot later in the season. Maybe you could create your own recipe that could impress the football legend.
