In a new food menu innovation, Wendy’s new Classic Chicken Sandwich gives guests more of what they want. Each bite is packed with big flavor. One taste of this ultimate crispy, juicy bite and you will understand that Wendy’s might have won the chicken sandwich wars.
At many quick service restaurants, the chicken sandwich has been the menu item that that guests have been craving. From Southern style to spicy, it seems that a chicken sandwich might be more popular than a burger.

According to John Li, Vice President Culinary Innovation at The Wendy’s Company, “The new-and-improved Classic fillet is made with cracker crumb to provide a crispier texture that holds in the juices of the premium all-white meat chicken breast, so you get a savory and crunchy experience with every bite.”
Based on Li’s statement, two aspects are quite interesting. First, the crispier texture is important for a great chicken sandwich, Not only does the crispy texture offer a contrast in texture, it should add another layer of satisfaction. Any good dish has various textures to make a complete bite.
Second, a juicy chicken is essential to a great chicken sandwich. When Wendy’s can offer a consistently juicy chicken sandwich across all its restaurants, guests feel confident that every order will be what they crave. Whether it is the Wendy’s location down the street or the location 100 miles away, guests know that every order will be what they expect each and every time.
The Wendy’s new Classic Chicken Sandwich offers a premium all-white meat chicken breast, which is layered with mayo, a slice of tomato, lettuce and pickles. The chicken sandwich is served on a toasted bun.
In addition to the new Classic Chicken Sandwich, the new chicken fillet will be able on the other chicken offerings, including Bacon Jalapeno Chicken Sandwich, Asiago Ranch Chicken Club or the new Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich.
