From both sides of the aisle, election themed cocktails could be many people’s beverage of choice during the Election Night chaos. Putting aside red, blue or other political opinions, a great cocktail or beverage can be the first step to finding common ground. Even if it isn’t a beer summit in the Rose Garden, extending a cocktail across the aisle could be a step in the right direction.

To say there might be Election Night chaos is like saying that that Rudolph has a red nose. We can agree to disagree, but the potential is staring everyone in the face. The key is how people will deal with the hand that they are dealt.

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz Dry Vermouth
• 5 oz Q Mixers Tonic
• 3 oz Sparkling Wine
• Garnish – mint sprig & lemon wheel

Method:

• Build drink in a large wine glass over ice.

This cocktail take a different approach with the sparkling wine. Consider a wine with a touch more sweetness to balance the tonic and mint.

Running Mate Mule – Red

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz Vodka
• 0.5 oz Cointreau
• 0.5 oz Lemon Juice

• Garnish – 1 half lemon wheel

Method:

• Build drink in mule mug – stir gently, garnish & serve.

Running Mate Mule – Blue

Ingredients:

• 0.5 oz Blue Curacao
• 0.5 oz Lemon juice
