Holiday Baking Championship preview: Holidays turned upside down
In this Holiday Baking Championship episode, the bakers are feeling a little topsy turvy.
It is time to shake up Holiday Baking Championship competition. In this episode, the Food Network asks these bakers to push the creativity in their holiday baking. Is the holiday kitchen getting all turned around in this baking competition?
According to Food Network, this Holiday Baking Championship episode, “Topsy-Turvy Holidays,” features the following:
"Host Jesse Palmer is turning things on their heads as he challenges the six competitors to work in teams to create jelly doughnut-inspired desserts, a twist on traditional Hanukkah jelly doughnuts. Then, the bakers get creative with the yummiest, gooiest holiday decorated upside-down cakes to satisfy judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Carla Hall."
Thinking about the pre-heat, a team competition is always difficult. Even though the bakers are fairly even, no one wants to lose. Even the most friendly teammates will want to put themselves first. It will be interesting to see which teams get along under the pressure.
For the main heat, the idea of an upside down cake could be quite interesting. While everyone knows the pineapple upside down cake, it isn’t the only cake option. What other fruits can be turned on their head?
Still, the biggest concern with this particular Holiday Baking Championship episode is the lack of control. In some challenges, the bakers can fix a mistake. With the upside down cake, it is either great or a fail when that cake turns over. There is no do-over.
As seen in the previous episode, no one is immune from the naughty list. Just because one baker has been on the top, doesn’t mean that there will be a huge switch. Just like Eva finally had a moment to shine, could it be another baker’s opportunity to impress the judges?
