Sprinkles launches the Boozy Cookie Cupcake to say “skrew 2020”

Are ready to say “Skrew 2020?” The Boozy Cookie Cupcake from Sprinkles is ready to put an end to this year like no other. If you are tired of hearing unprecedented, pivot and a variety of other words that have been overused in 2020, it is time to raise a glass and a cupcake to 2021.

For the holiday season, Sprinkles is offering The Boozy Cookie Cupcake. In partnership with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, this special cupcake is just for the adults. If you are ready to say, “Skrew 2020, Cheers 2021” this cupcake is for you.

Allison Click, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Sprinkles said, “We’re more than ready to say goodbye to 2020, and we know our fans are too. Nothing takes the edge off like a delicious Sprinkles cupcake, hence the creation of the Boozy Cookie Cupcake.”

Sprinkles describes this Boozy Cookie Cupcake as “chocolate chip studded yellow cake linked with a Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey cookie crust, topped with Skrewball buttercream and rimmed with Skrewball cookie crumbles.” The special cupcake is available December 21 through January 3, 2021.

While this cupcake has the booze in each bite, it begs the question, what cocktail should you choose to pair with this tasty treat? Of course, a whiskey would be an obvious choice.

Although you could pour yourself a couple fingers of the Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, why not take a little different approach. With all the peanut butter and chocolate in the Sprinkles cupcake cake, a contrasting flavor might be nice.

Even though a Sidecar can be a little sweet, the orange notes in the cocktail could pair nicely. Orange and chocolate are always a tasty combination.

Or, a whiskey sour could be a bigger contrast to the sweetness of the cupcake. Also, a hot toddy might be a nice option on a cold winter night.
