Looking across the restaurant industry, many restaurants are closed on Christmas Day. Although your holiday dinner might have been a disaster, you cannot run to the border for a quick and tasty meal replacement. Hopefully, there is some other food choice stocked in the refrigerator or pantry.

It has been a big year for Taco Bell. On Christmas Eve, it brought back the fan favorite Nacho Fries. Everyone loves those Mexican seasoned fries with a nacho cheese dipping sauce. While many people wait for those Nacho Fries to be added into other menu items, they are quite tasty on their own.

Although that menu item return was a gift for food fans, other favorite menu items have gone away this year. The reduced menus have helped restaurants streamline service, even though some people are not happy with the reduction.

Looking ahead to 2021, many things could be on the horizon for Taco Bell. As the brand continues to look to increase vegetarian options, it will be interesting to see if plant-based food options join the menu. While vegetarians have long supported Taco Bell, the new year, new you mantra could help fuel even more orders.
