Pizza Hut is starting 2021 with a tasty treat. The Original Stuffed Crust pizza is here with a new twist, just the crust. While the proper eating method of this iconic pizza has long been debated, the new limited edition offering eliminated the guess work. Who wants more crust?

When Pizza Hut launched the Original Stuffed Crust, people were ecstatic. Although some people would discard that rim of dough that was plain and boring, the stuffed crust made crust something that you wanted to eat. Sometimes people even ate the crust first.

Given the popularity of the crust, why didn’t Pizza Hut just offer a stuffed crust. Luckily the company has finally answered that question.

George Felix, chief marketing officer, Pizza Hut, said “In fact, over the years, we’ve had fans ask us if they could order just the stuffed crust by itself because it’s that good, so we’re excited to not only offer our Original Stuffed Crust pizza with up to 3 toppings for just $11.99, but to also give some lucky people in DFW and LA the chance to try the ultimate crust experience with Nothing But Stuffed Crust.”

While only a couple locations will be able to enjoy the Nothing But Stuffed Crust, people can still enjoy the Original Stuffed Crust Pizza. And, if you love that crust, just order a second pizza and save the crust for yourself (the kids can eat the middle, tell them it’s a parental rule).

Given all the excitement about this special offering, it begs the question, could just a stuffed crust or stuffed breadstick join the Pizza Hut menu? With so many people craving that stuffed crust, it could be the menu innovation of the year.

Although it might be labor intensive to make, it is probably one of the few food choices that people want the outer edges. The inside of a cinnamon bun is always better than the outside. Many people prefer the inner pieces of brownies to the edges. Maybe just the crust is the menu item that is the game changer for pizza.
