Running from January 8 through February 22, the many marketplaces offer a vast and varied menu to enjoy. It might take multiple visits to enjoy all the culinary delights.
The International Festival of the Arts is known for pushing the culinary boundaries of food. From deconstructed dishes to visually compelling offerings, the Disney chefs are allowed to play with food.
With this year’s offerings, many guests will not believe their eyes when it comes to these delicious Disney Parks food offerings. By invoking all the senses as well as all the flavor profiles, guests will be encouraged to think beyond the traditional and embrace the complexity that food can offer.
Looking at the recently released Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts menu, there are over 30 new food and beverage offerings. From bold flavors to colorful plates, it is definitely a feast worthy of Disney Magic.
While many of the food marketplaces have new menu offerings, one new food studio is a must try. The Vibrante & Vívido Food Studio, located between Morocco & France in World Showcase, entices guests with bold colors and flavors. The dishes available are:
- Chilled Seafood Cocktail with Octopus, Scallops, Shrimp, Black Garlic Aïoli, Tomato-Coconut Sauce, and Serrano-Lime Oil
- Blue Corn Pupusa-stuffed with Cheese and topped with Shredded Pork, Guajillo and Árbol Chile Sauce, Cabbage Slaw, and Aji Amarillo Crema (Gluten/Wheat Friendly)
- Passion Fruit Mousse with Dragon Fruit Jam
While the colors draw the eye, the flavor combinations are quite exciting. The combination of ingredients that at one point bring a touch of heat only to be tamed by a crema show how a dish evolves with flavor. Anyone who is ready to explore how food can be a culinary journey needs to try these dishes.
Continuing the color theme, the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine has returned. Select dishes around Epcot are represent a particular color. Guests than collect a stamp on the passport. Once all dishes are enjoyed, the guests can collect a special treat.
While the Rose Panna Cotta makes for an amazing photo (not to mention a tasty treat), the Mouskoutchou: Orange Cake with Cinnamon-Chocolate Mousse might be the highlight of the colorful cuisine. The combination of flavors is classic but the presentation has a lovely visual.
